GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT
VISITING
 New
Skete is located an hour northeast of Albany, New York, and
approximately one-half hour northwest of Bennington,
Vermont. The
Monastery is about four miles outside the village of
Cambridge in the gentle and lovely Taconic Mountains, which
geologically sideswipe the Green Mountains of Vermont, just
north of the Berkshire hills of Massachusetts.
Should you ever find yourself near our back door to
New England, you are most welcome to visit and pray with us,
or simply to have some quiet time for reflection.
Our
grounds are open every day but Monday. Guided visits to the
church for religious, school, or senior groups are possible
with advance notice.
The
small New Skete Farms gift shop is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10
am-Noon, and 2 pm-4, and Sundays from 2-4 only.
We do not take visitors through the dog kennels due
to health precautions.
Monastery services are open to visitors. Any changes to the schedule of services listed below will be
noted on our phone menu.
Saturday:
Vigil – 5 pm
 Sunday:
Matins – 9 am
followed
by Divine
Liturgy at 10 am.
Guests are welcome to join us at coffee hour at the
end of this service.
Tuesday
thru Friday: Matins
–7:15 am; Saturday Matins – 8 am
Tuesday
thru Saturday: Vespers – 5 pm,
There
are no public services on Mondays
